Knowing that I would be closing my freelance business and allowing my Adobe subscription to lapse, I invested last year in the Affinity suite. Tonight I finally took it for a spin.
I like it so far! It’s a bit daunting that I will need to either (a) learn a totally separate set of keyboard shortcuts or (b) spend some quality time grafting Photoshop shortcuts to a custom shortcut set.
I’m tempted to fire up my Instagram account again and start posting there, but I kind of get the ick imagining that Meta’s gonna feed this into some sort of AI training bullshit.
